The Call

Its been so long with these turmulant & lonely months that I have stopped realising there existence now. Sometimes, I forget the zest of live I am always associated with - my dimpled laugh, my effervescent nature, my fun-filled outings, my BLOGs ....

A lost trust can rip apart any human being and the whole house comes crumbling. Nah, I am a very steady person and emotionally very strong ... I am a survivor and will come out of all this unruffled ... I trust myself ... but then I do need to feel the warmth of that little light I see at the end of the tunnel .....

And then came the CALL ... The sound of the name made me smile, giggle, laugh, just everything .... It was A, my darling college friend, who always came to my rescue when I needed the most. Its that special bond we share which blossoms with every little email we share once in several days or that chat session we have once in several weeks or the surprise calls once in several months. Yeah its a mature friendship without any hassels of explanations but boundless trust ...

We have always been there for each other with open arms and warm smile ..... Thanks A

Who will decide?

What a time for the H1N1 virus to enter the country - the festive season’s just begun.

Janamasthami (Dahi-Haandi) & Ganapathi-Visarjan (Ganesh Chaturthi) – the 2 communal festivals celebrated in humongous numbers – are on its way.

BEAT THIS …
The Govt is still debating whether to but a ban on public celebrations or just do away with precautionary pamphlets!

Didn’t we learn from Mexico & Italy, how to manage the epidemic spread quickly and efficiently!!

Or is it the Democratic way to control the population!
Who shall I ask this question – Gulam Nabi Azad – our minister of Health & Family Welfare?

Sir, perhaps you could enlighten us here!

H1N1 - Swine Flu

Pune has been declared the most polluted city of India – 07 Aug 2009

All public places have been closed – Schools, Colleges, Malls and even Multiplexes
The state government is trying everything to monitor the increasing number of swine flu cases in the city.
But isn’t this a tad-bit-too-late?

Perhaps the magnanimity of the proliferating death tolls hadn’t hit us then
Or
Perhaps we assumed that the Western world viruses won’t infest into the trench of the developing world!

Either ways, the reality has hit us and hit us hard this time …. Swine is a pandemic!
There you go … while I pen-down … the news flashes …. count reaches 10

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater

Read these beautifully true lines on women

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater.

If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit!

Cinderella Pantomime

It’s been ages since the last time I penned down, the reason being my social engagements during the Xmas season and a few personal commitments.
Christmas was yet again fun filled and Merry!

The best was the Cinderella pantomime @ Shaw Theatre Euston – an amazing girlie night out. The glamorous chicks from work – Jenny Harry, Tricia Birch, Jo Pink, Sima Naran & me!
The evening started with a glass of mulled wine at a local pub – the best way to relax and cut from work thoughts…..
We reached the theatre at 7:00 and it was full of kids presumably from 2 different schools … so that made us a few selected adults in the hall for the panto!!
The play was enacted gorgeously and me in my bubbly-self was shouting and shrieking with the kids.
It was not all about fairy god mother or Cinderella or her lost shoe …. It was also about nursery rhymes …
My fav still being

Old McDonald had a farm
Eeya eeya oh!
On that farm he had a chick
Eeya eeya oh!
Here a chick,
There a chick,
Every where a chick chick
Old McDonald had a farm

NB: Yeah, H didn’t make it this time & I missed her a lot. At least the theatre pple were grateful that it was just me and not the Gang!

i carry your heart with me by ee cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
